They like to be working (or partying) in the night even if that would mean less sleep for them. Some of them claim to be more productive when they stay up late in contrast to waking up early in the morning. Also, individuals who wake up late state that they are less prone to sleep deprivation. They claim that consistent patterns in their sleep schedule help better adjust their biological clock.

Whether you are a night owl or a morning lark, you should get a solid 7 hours of sleep every day. Whichever you choose, you should adjust yourself to get that much sleep. Otherwise, you would find yourself sleeping in the middle of the day, or giving less attention to your work or school. There are benefits of both waking up late and early.
