When it comes to beauty, people tend to define it with physical characteristics. But, there are also people that consider inner beauty as well. Even the philosophy could not find a suitable answer for it. Also, some say that falling in love with someone is more complex than just finding them beautiful. Today’s writing is about outward appearance versus the inner beauty. Which one are you? Do you prefer outward appearance or inner beauty?
Outer Beauty: the mirror image
When you ask people to define another person’s beauty, or what they like about a person, they mostly answer with physical attributes. They probably say things like “I like muscles, blue eyes and blonde hair in people…” Given the first impression of people, this behavior is understandable. Most people tend to judge another person by looking at their outward appearance. Then, they choose to evaluate the inner beauty of others. Even the philosophy cannot answer the question strictly. Also, when we consider the process of falling in love, it is more complex than finding someone beautiful. We consider all the aspects of one’s personality and physicality implicitly when we are falling in love.
Inner Beauty: the treasure within
Although most people answer the question of what they find beautiful with the physicality of others, some choose to emphasize inner characteristics. Generosity, honesty and kindness are what is important for some who cherish inner beauty over the outer. That kind of people often seeks to find the most “gorgeous” person they ever met. Even though the outer appearance is good, if they fail to see a gem inside, they mostly break up with their partners. Or, in contrast, even if they find the physical attributes of others less beautiful, seeing a nice person inside can change all the attitude. It all aligns with our sentence in the previous paragraph. That we consider all the aspects of one’s personality and physicality implicitly when we are falling in love is a fact.
All in all, there is a complex behavior before us. Some say without the outer beauty, there cannot be the evaluation of inner. Or, some others say that the outer beauty is just a mask and the inner beauty should be the one to look for. Tell us now which one do you prefer. Do you prefer outward appearance or inner beauty? Also, what aspect of yourself do you find more attractive, your inner beauty or outward appearance?
